The Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA) has restructured its committee framework following the 2023 Annual Meeting. The updated structure includes various committees and working groups, each focusing on specific aspects of the association's operations and governance.
Committees and Working Groups
Awards and Recognition Working Group: Focuses on acknowledging outstanding contributions within the OPBA community.
Caveat Emptor Editorial Committee: Responsible for the content and publication of the association's "Caveat Emptor" newsletter.
Conference Working Group: Plans and coordinates the annual OPBA conference, ensuring valuable programming for attendees.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee: Promotes initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive environment within the association.
Governance Committee: Oversees governance matters, ensuring adherence to bylaws and organizational policies.
Membership and School Outreach Working Group: Works on strategies to grow membership and engage with educational institutions.
Pro-D (Professional Development) Working Group: Develops and implements professional development opportunities for members.
Principles Working Group: Supports the development and delivery of OPBA’s Principles certificate program, ensuring it remains relevant and valuable to public procurement professionals.
Principles Advisory Working Group: Provides guidance on the application and implementation of the Principles certificate program, ensuring alignment with best practices in procurement education.
Reverse Vendor Tradeshow Working Group: Organizes the Reverse Vendor Tradeshow, facilitating networking between vendors and members.
Strategic Planning Implementation Ad-hoc Committee: Assists in executing the association's strategic initiatives.
